dental emergency

If you are suffering from a dental emergency, call our Vancouver, Washington dental office immediately!

As soon as you experience some discomfort in your mouth or something simply just does not feel right, it’s easy to become panicked. Dental emergencies often come with no warning, which is why it’s important to have the right dentist in Vancouver WA on speed dial. This can help to provide you some peace of mind when one of these situations arise.

Fortunately, there are several quick fixes for dental crises, but nothing will fully correct the issue until you’re able to visit your dentist. Here are a few quick fixes for dental emergencies to keep in mind:

Broken wires from braces.

Wires can sometimes become loose and cause some discomfort when they rub consistently against your gums. If this happens, try positioning the wire back in place using a pencil’s eraser. Another idea is to cover the wire with orthodontic wax until you can get to the dentist. The last thing you will want to do is cut the wire as it can be easily swallowed.

Missing filling.

If you notice that your filling is missing, use a piece of dental wax or dental cement to temporarily fill the hole. Visit your dentist as soon as possible.

Missing crown.

If you’re lucky enough to still have the crown, try to slip it back onto your tooth using dental cement or even toothpaste. This temporary fix should be addressed by your dentist as soon as possible.

If you have any questions about a potential dental issue, it’s best to call your dentist in Vancouver WA right away. Our team at Padden Dental will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have and schedule an appointment for you to have a thorough evaluation.
