Modern dental techniques have brought several lesser known types of cosmetic dentistry into the mainstream.  It hasn’t been that long ago that options for cosmetic dental procedures were limited in both terms of availability and cost,

Below are a few options for cosmetic dentistry we practice at Padden Dental, that go beyond the basic braces and teeth whitening to give you the brilliant smile you deserve.

Bonding – If you have a moderately chipped tooth, a simple bonding procedure can restore it to its original perfection. Tooth color resin is ‘bonded’ to the tooth and is then shaped to give it a perfect form. Bonding can also be used to fill in small gaps between teeth.

Enamel Shaping – This procedure is used to shape natural teeth to fix minor imperfections. Proper shaping can even make slightly misaligned teeth look straighter.
Enamel Reshaping
Gum Shaping – If your gums extend too far down the length of the teeth, your smile will appear less brilliant than is possible. By removing a small portion of the gums, teeth appear longer and more even.
Gum Reshaping

Gum Grafts – If your issue is receding gums, you might be a candidate for gum grafting. Small amounts of gum tissue are taken from healthy parts of the mouth and grafted onto areas where the gums are receding. This procedure not only leaves you with a nicer smile, but can also relieve tooth sensitivity and prevent serious issues including bone loss.

If you believe you can be helped by one or more of these modern procedures, consult your dentist. If you’re in need of cosmetic dentistry in Vancouver, WA, schedule an appointment with us here at Padden Dental and let us help you with all of your preventative, restorative and cosmetic dental needs.
